Oil City Pickups Honkytonk Angel Bridge Pickup. In the bridge postion for a Telecaster this pickup is wound with 43 AWG wire, but follows the style of a 1950's Broadcaster which would have had a heavier gauge wire. Singing middle tones, but when pushed through a good valve amp some distinctive blues and rock tones
A pickup of some distinction and based on one with a real pedigree. The 'Angel' has been wound using a slightly lighter gauge wire but taken to a DC resistance of just a shade under 10K. The extra windings and gauge wire provides a pickup of supreme sound quality, with biting top end and a sweet spot in the middle, and a sofetr bass respones. Ideal for those country pedal steel style licks, but with a bit more versatility and refinement.
